It is always fascinating to me to see how successful fast food restaurants are all around the country. The idea of providing food in less than 5 minutes or food on the go in order to keep customers instantly satisfied and on their way has logical value to offer. It can be a successful business for many, even though the nutrition provided is the worst and people definitely don't need bad nutrition in our country. By now you realize that people don't necessarily buy what they need, but they do buy what they want.
There are many things that can turn a fast food restaurant into a goldmine. I consider the magic formula to be how good is what they offer and how fast can they deliver it. Now, let's apply that formula to someone that wants to succeed. The more you read and learn from other entrepreneurs, the more you are fully aware that bringing value to people creates demand for what you offer. So, if you already know what value you are going to be providing with your idea or your business, how fast are you willing to work on it to deliver it? Urgency is a big part of all successful entrepreneurs. You can be urgent and patient at the same time. Urgent to produce, patient to see results, however you must always be producing to have a pipeline of upcoming results.
Everyone is tired after work. Everyone! How much do you want success? If you get up and hit the gym regardless of how tired you are, you will see the results in your body, your energy level and the way you feel months ahead. Those who say: "I'll go tomorrow", see themselves a year later knowing that "tomorrow" never came. After work is when you discover what you are made of. After work is when you say to yourself: "Everyone is tired, and that's when I need to attack and make it happen". After work is when you know that your competition is hitting it hard. How fast do you want to run when you are exhausted? Ask Lance Armstrong and he will tell you that when it is raining, hailing and the floor is muddy, that is when he loves racing because no one can suffer like he does.
What you do at your job will pay the bills and what you do after your job will make you rich. Why are so many people urgent to get up and get to work on time to make someone else rich, but have no urgency to put their time into building something for themselves? You are the champ and champions never get comfortable. That sets you apart from the rest. Your will and urgency to get things done will set you far apart from those that say they want something, but not enough to get started or persevere through the hard times.
Up With People
This past weekend I joined Chelsey Panchot, Promotion Representative in attending her Up With People event "A Song for the World". A great two hour show of young artists from all over the world singing towards bringing the world together. It is a great family show and a great way to get involved with people that see the light of our future instead of the other way around. My favorite part of the show, other than all the great colors used in the wardrobe and stage, was when they sang a song that said the words "What about now, what about today". I identified with that song because it brought my tenacity to the next level. It enhanced the urgency to spread the word of "do it now" and don't wait for tomorrow. Because tomorrow never comes.

With that, I leave you by challenging you to start producing and take action towards what you want right after reading this letter. Be the pace setter, set the example and you will be amazed of the fast results you will get. You won't be satisfied like most fast food eaters. You will be ecstatic to continue.
