I want to buy from you
What was that one thing you wanted most as a kid? How did you get your mother to buy it for you? Either you begged and screamed to get it, did something to make her happy, or just got it the first time you asked for it. Sales people many times forget when they were kids and made all the sales in the world. How do you know you were the best salesperson as a child? Well, how many toys did you have?

One of three options
Before you keep expressing to everyone how much you hate sales, know that you are great at it, and know that sales is one of, if not the highest paid job in the US.

Option 1 - A kid that begs, screams and cries to get what he/she wants, is creating an environment where mom says: "I need to buy it for you before you drive me crazy". That kid learned how sales worked for him/her and will develop into the type of salesperson you don't want to hangout with, EVER.

If you consider option 2 - A child that makes mommy happy in order to get what he/she wants, then you have created an environment where you earn the sale by providing value and helping others. Creating such environment will bring lots of wealth for you. If you are known as a person who loves, provides happiness, and helps people benefit, you will earn the world and a great reputation, one sale at a time.

Option 3 has the most power of all. A kid that asks once has developed an incredible amount of influence over his/her parents. You have set an example, taken action, done things right and made a great person out of yourself, therefore, people will fill your wallet because they know you can make things happen.


Do you get it yet?
Anyone that says they hate sales has either a misconception of what sales is, bad sales training, or somehow convinced themselves they suck at it by never giving it a shot, or failing on their first try and using that as an excuse to quit. Most people think a sale involves convincing, taking people's money and never see them again. Go back and read some of my emails to refresh your memory on the definition of sales.

If you create an environment where people want to buy from you, you will then be fully aware of the power of sales and what it can bring to your life. To create such an environment you must become more than what you currently are. Learn how to be likable, be interesting to people, earn their trust, take action and make things happen for yourself. Attract others into your life by becoming that person people want to be associated with, and you will then hear the wonderful words: "I want to buy from you". Go back to your childhood to remember how you got all your toys. Then, you will realize that you are not adapting to your surroundings. Your connections, environment and surroundings are adapting to you.
