And then I hear; "Oh my God, you guys got to take a look at this". As I turn my head, I see three guys running to watch a video on a computer screen. Knowing what our community craves for, I knew it was some kind of disgusting video. Those are the kind of videos people run to see nowadays. It got really quiet, but I could hear sounds of what they might've been watching. It had to be something shocking to hear their responses.
Much of the fear that is planted in your heart is because of the things you listen to and watch on television. The media has a perfect understanding of what your mind craves therefore they give it to you and let you access it as easily as possible. I'm still waiting for the "Good News Network". Your brain functions to protect you. Whenever an opportunity arises, it starts imagining all the things that could go wrong, before you make the first step. This is why many people say your first step is the hardest one. Then, you start believing the world is messed up due to all the horrible things your brain loves watching. Your reality is perceived by the things you surround yourself with.
One of the guys watching the video that day was a person I admire as a phenomenal parent. One of the best I have ever seen. He has raised his kids to not have any fear and people compliment him about that constantly. His response to the video was: "Just when I thought there was hope". And that got to me a little, coming from him. After watching the video they all went back to their desks with pale faces. After 10 minutes of silence another person says: "We live in a sick world!"
For every bad thing that happens, one good thing happens. You need to transform your mind into having cravings for the good things. Regardless of how bad things are, you can make great things for yourself. While they were watching their morning video, I was listening to Earl Nightingale's "The Strangest Secret" which clearly teaches us "You become what you think about". Feeding your eyes and ears with negative things is feeding your mind negatively. And you will attract negative people.
Having a positive attitude and a "Yes" attitude has great power and gives you colossal positive results, but you need to train your mind to develop it. It starts by surrounding yourself with great books, Audio CDs, great movies, attending seminars, and surrounding yourself with positive and successful friends. I have trained my mind not to be remotely interested in negative things. And you can too. You will find that groups of positive people feed their brains with the same great books and will never recommend you a disgusting video. Instead, they will invite you to discuss Earl Nightingale's "Lead the Field", listen to your thoughts on it and bring out the best person in you.
If this is yet another motivating letter that you are receiving, then it is obvious that you are receiving signs from everywhere and you should take action. You are what you surround yourself with, and the best part of this is that you have complete control over it. You can start today, right now and see the great results that you will earn and the kind of people you will attract. Do you want to become great? Do you want to start now? Or do you want to see just one more horrible video before you get going? There has never been a better time than now. Get to it!
